Rational Small Talk
According to Keirsey I would appear to resemble the Rational temperament which seems to correspond with my dislike or discomfort with small talk. I have decided to throw down some questions for conversing with more clarity of thought…
SE: What is your name?
EP: What name do you go by?; What do they call you?; What name did your parents give you?; What may I call you?; What name do you have?; What name do you claim?; et cetera;Comment: From my point of view your name can reflect your identity as a forced-upon association that you became used to or with EP questioning we may give a name which seems more associated with reality like the way some of us prefer to use nicknames rather then what their birth certificate states.
SE: How are you?
EP: How goes it?; How has life treated you lately?; How do you feel today?; How does life seem since we last met?; et cetera;Comment: It would look to me as though the EP questions appear to more accurately probe for a correct emotional response with more relation to life itself.
SE: What is your occupation?
EP: What do you do?; What do you do for a living?; What occupies your time?; What profession do you claim?; What do you specialise in?; et cetera;Comment: The EP questions would indicate to me that they have more tact in finding out a person's value rather then simply jumping to conclusions based on what their current job may imply.
SE: Who are you?
EP: Who or whom do you feel like?; Who or whom do you take after?; Who or whom do you conform with?; Who or whom do you act like?; et cetera;Comment: The EP questions seem to probe specifically for information that may begin to justify a reason behind the nature of the person in-question.
